Between You and God
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway!
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway!
If you are successful you will win some false friends and some true enemies.
Succeed anyway!
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you.
Be honest and frank anyway!
What you spend years building, someone may destroy it overnight.
Build anyway!
If you find serenity and happiness, others may be jealous.
Be happy anyway!
If what you do today, people will often forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway!
Give the world the best you have even though it may not be enough.
Give the world the best you can anyway!
Why?
Because in the final analysis, this is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway!
Remember we only have one life to live and in every moment we have an opportunity to become the best person we can be. We can make a positive difference in our lives and those around us beginning today. We are only responsible for our own decisions, actions and reactions!
